Venice Canals Elopement || Los Angeles Elopement Photographer
While some people choose to elope in dramatic, mountainous locations that require strenuous hikes, this Venice Canals elopement had something different in mind. Emily & Dan wanted to make their elopement personal to them. I was SO impressed with the way they stayed true to themselves. Rocking the pink Vans was cool enough, but then they brought out their “Just Married” skateboards? I was DONE.
The quiet, early morning ceremony was heartfelt and beautiful. It was so nice to have time with just the three of us afterwards for their portraits. One thing I love about elopements is the fact that I get SO much time for photos! It’s really nice not having the pressure to adhere to a strict timeline.
We took a walk around the canals and then explored some of the most iconic spots in Venice. To be honest, I don’t see too many elopements that happen in the city. I think people assume that city = noisy and not very romantic. I definitely disagree with this sentiment! While eloping in remote locations is a beautiful thing to do, it isn’t the only way to elope. Good photos can be taken anywhere if you know where to look. Most importantly, it has to be true to you. If you aren’t the type of couple who enjoys hiking or aren’t really “outdoorsy”, you don’t have to be!
I am now booking elopements for 2025, so if you are thinking about eloping, I would LOVE to chat with you!
