This Cold Spring Tavern wedding in Santa Barbara, California with Darren and Sierra was completely magical! Cold Spring Tavern just happens to be one of my favorite venues in all of Southern California. With its rustic charm and quiet, intimate setting, it doesn’t even feel like you’re in California anymore. It’s definitely one of Santa Barbara’s best kept secrets.

I really loved how Darren and Sierra weren’t afraid to show off their personalities.

With Sierra rocking the most amazing boots I’ve ever seen and Darren rocking the all black look (even the tie!), I really felt that this day was a beautiful representation of who they are as individuals and who they are as a couple. Is “Rock & Roll Rustic” a thing yet? Because it definitely should be! One of my favorite wedding trends will always be mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses. This wedding certainly didn’t disappoint!

What I really loved though was how much texture was in each dress.

I felt like it really added onto the personalities of everyone involved, which really showed how much Darren and Sierra also wanted to make sure their friends’ stayed true to their own styles.

Add in some gorgeous florals by Caitlyn Rylander of Fleur de Rye,

who always does an AMAZING job when it comes to bold, creative, and one-of-a-kind designs. She perfectly encapsulated the overall vibe for the day.

Since I took a little break from shooting weddings while recovering from a knee injury, looking back at my past work has really showed me what I have missed. I love how unique all of my clients are and it means so much to me that I have been entrusted to capture such a special time for them.
